ABOUT

Murielle started practicing yoga in 2010, hoping to relieve back issues she was suffering from since her teenager years. As she noticed a tremendous result only after one year of regular practice, she was definitively convinced of the physical benefits of yoga…she hadn't been acquainted with the other aspects of yoga yet…

Her real yoga journey started in 2014, when she decided to deepen her practice and complete a Diploma in Yoga Education from Yoga Vidya Gurukul in Nasik, India. Her approach to yoga practice focuses on gentle yoga asanas (physical poses) with slow and controlled movements, incorporating pranayama (breathing technique) as well as meditation. She strongly believes in a gentle and long lasting practice where patience and acceptance are the keys, rather than rushing and pushing the limits to achieve goals, which may only have short-term effects.

After having worked for more than 10 years as an art historian in various cultural institutions, she now dedicates full time to yoga teaching.

Besides her practice of Hatha Yoga, as she entered motherhood, she discovered the importance of yoga and breath for all mothers-to-be. Her teaching has therefore a strong focus on pre and postnatal yoga as she feels it is an important class to offer the community. She personally experienced all the benefits pre and postnatal yoga brought her during and after her two pregnancies, so that she is even more enthusiastic about transmitting its benefits.

She completed in 2014 a Hatha Yoga certification at Yoga Vidya Gurukul, India, an Institute recognised by the Indian Government.

She is since 2017 a certified Birthlight UK prenatal yoga teacher and since 2021 a certified Birthright UK postnatal yoga teacher.

In addition, she has trained in Restorative Yoga with Adeline Tien, Singapore.

She is currently working on certifying in Hormone Yoga.

What people say about Murielle's teaching

"I took classes with Murielle for both pre and post-natal yoga. She is a fantastic teacher: generous, patient and thoughtful. During my pregnancy, her mindful programme made me feel much more at ease in my body, and I feel prepared me very well for labour too. During labour, the breathing exercises she taught me turned out to be extremely helpful! Her postnatal classes were also excellent for helping me to re-build strength, agility and physical confidence. I wholeheartedly recommend her classes." Phoebe, Australia, pre and post-natal yoga

"Murielle's one-to-one prenatal classes were much more than what I expected. The classes were very well planned, offering ample time for breathing exercises, useful yoga moves that prepared my body for my upcoming birth, as well as a deep relaxation session at the end.

Murielle continuously guided me through each move, explaining how they were useful and how to implement them in the correct fashion. During our classes, I learnt a lot of useful tips on how to cope with my changing body during pregnancy and how to get ready for birth. I looked forward to every session and would strongly recommend Murielle and her classes to anyone who is interested in prenatal yoga.

When the student is ready, the teacher apprears... - this is exactly how I felt about your presence during my pregnancy.

You had a great role in making it possible for me to have the natural, peaceful birth experience I wished for...thank you so much for your help, truly appreciated".

Cise, Cyprus, pre-natal yoga

"Murielle took the steps gradually for a beginner like me, which allows me to acquire basics smoothly.

She is very patient to correct poses, explaining benefits of each movement, so that you understand why you are doing it. Her class is really relaxing, but tough enough to gain strength and flexibility without pain. You feel like a whole different person after the class. Great teacher!"

Yun, China, Hatha Yoga for beginners

"Two month ago, I delivered my third child naturally and without any pain relief. It was a truly amazing experience thanks to the mental and physical preparation I was able to go through in Murielle’s class. She is an extremely passionate and knowledgeable yoga teacher. I particularly enjoyed the breathing techniques, the practice of different poses during delivery and the deep relaxation exercises."

Nicole, Switzerland, pre-natal yoga

"I truly loved Murielle's pre-natal private sessions. It helped me so much to prepare for my second pregnancy.

In a first step, Murielle helped me correct my body posture to improve back aches. The pain disappeared after a few sessions. I enjoyed very much the breathing exercices as well as the meditation part. It helped me a lot to prepare before and during birthing. I am also very grateful as it helped me to give birth naturally after a c-section. I would highly recommend her classes, she is very professional and has a great knowledge". Virginie, France, pre-natal yoga

"I would really recommend Murielle's private classes because she is fully dedicated to create a tailored-made program to your specific needs. She will identify where it would be best to focus without denying the rest of the body. She will explain the purpose of each position and how to improve and to go further into your practice.  I have been practicing for only a few months and I improved much more than 3 years in a yoga studio"

Rebecca, France, Hatha yoga

"Each time I practice yoga with you, I just feel so energised afterwards. It also helps me to release tension and strengthen my deep core muscles"

Eliane, Switzerland, post-natal yoga
